Direct Dyes are easily applied and suitable for dyeing all cellulose fibers such as cotton, linen, and rayon. The dyes produce bright shades but have poor washfastness, therefore various after treatments are usually required.
The dyeing process is simply carried out in a neutral or slight alkaline dyebath in near boiling temperature (90ºC-100ºC).
